Welcome to the Society for Research in Autism Spectrum Conditions (WGAS)!
We hope that our website is both informative and resourceful and we invite you to explore all of the work of our non-profit organisation.

The WGAS is devoted to supporting basic and applied autism research primarily in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Among other things, the WGAS will try to meet this goal through producing scientific publications, facilitating events such as the Scientific Meeting for Autism Spectrum Conditions (WTAS),promoting networking among colleagues active within the autism field, training and continuing education for researchers, formation of professional groups, support for junior scientists, and sponsorship of awards for outstanding research contributions. You can find more information on these topics on our website.

Please note that we are accepting entries for the Weber-Bosch-Award. The award will be given to young German-speaking scientists in recognition of their outstanding scientific contribution to research in autism spectrum conditions. The Weber-Bosch-Prize will be awarded at the 3rd WTAS in February 2010 in Frankfurt, to which we kindly invite you.

On behalf of the WGAS board of directors, yours sincerely,

Sven Bölte (president; Zentralinstitut für Seelische Gesundheit (ZI), Mannheim) &
Isabel Dziobek (vice-president; FU Berlin)
